Being that these stores buy cars without the need to buy one of theirs should tell most people that the money these stores put on cars is more correct than others. Why? Generally a Saturn store will buy your vehicle even if you don't buy theirs, as long as the car is a desireable vehicle and is good on miles and condition. My thought which I feel has always held true since they have been in business is to have a Saturn store or CarMax look at your vehicle. Try to determine how these sources actually come up with their numbers. It better be thousands of dollars different. Take that same truck and have it evaluated for Manhattan, Beverly Hills, Miami Beech, and oh lets say Kansas, Ohio, Mississippi. Next try a Chevrolet Silverado for where you live and compare again to other areas of the country. Do that a number of times for different states and I bet you wont see much of a change. Then choose another state, far away, and checks its value for their. Take an ION2 and use those sources to determine its value for where you live. Not once has any of those sources you seem to feel are the gate keepers of value ever written a check for one of their "appraisals."ĭo me a favor. Print off all 3 valuations and average them together and demand that for trade-inĭemand all you want, but a car is only worth what a dealer is willing to pay based upon what they can turn it for.
